Newton water level?

What is the water situation like at Newton? Would probably just be shore fishing from ramp south and along the dam by the campgrounds.

With the title of the thread being what it was, it might not have shown up even you looked for it.

Interestingly, I was at Sportsmans Warehouse last night, and their board said it should start filling soon. No indication of how.

My father-in-law, who lives in Newton, told me last night that the reservoir is one-third full. The farmers are now using the water for1st crop hay and barley . Most likely they will be out of water in early to mid July, barring lots of rain between now and then. Don't look for it to get fuller anytime soon!

That's what I was afraid of. Guess I'll save my gas money and save that trip for another year. With as low as it was last year (dang near empty at one point) I can't imagine the fish numbers are very high anyways.
