This still in the works? Couldn't find the post.
Willard was last proposed. Skunked? Too many cats on the brain (and the line!)

Still on the plans, however, I have been busy and haven't gotten back with Curt on the Willard venue, last I heard he was going to get with the manager and set up a day use area... I tried one day but the manager was out and they told me that the other person that could do it was also out that day so I don't have a spot lined up yet... Still planning on May 16th at Willard Bay... I am still working prizes but haven't had much success yet... I have had a lot of interest in coming this year, I think we need to set a meal get together time because I expect we will be more scattered at this venue than usual, so we should have a set time to gather to meet one another and grab a bite to eat... Would 1:00 PM work for everyone? I know it's a little late, but I'd hate to have food get in the way of a good fishing trip... I'm open to suggestions here... Also I didn't get many comments on the fishing contest, which was the largest two fish of each species added together for a total score... If we can find multiple prizes I'd like to see largest fish prize and others if possible... Hey Yote could you bring BFT stickers for each person and we could put one of those in the fish pictures with the word of the day on the sticker so we could assure all pics were from that day...? Anyway sorry for my lack of organization, but I hate to stress too much ahead of time... Tough on my body ya know... Plus might get in the way of my catfishing... Later J

Yote, the front seat in my boat still open if you want it. And as long as you will chase that dang skunk out of the boat when you get in. PM me and we can set up a meet time.

Sweet gig you got there, so like are you pulling it back or just checking it out and putting it on the truck? Take your wife with you and spend the evenings playing around the big apple... One of the best trips I've had from work was checking out test stands on Long Island and spending the nights in Manhattan... We'll miss you, but I think you'll have more fun... See ya when you get back... Later J

So is that like HungerGames, but with a boat instead of Chariot?
How are the suckers doing up your way? I could use some good catfish bait!
Tin Can, I'm all over it still. So far doesn't sound like a lot of bites for the event? But maybe there's more from the first post still chewing on it? I got some iced perch I can pitch in. Shrimp too, if they don't become bait!
Don't know if the Crappie action will still be on? Seen some nice stringers and some hefty Wiper action from shore even. Always in favor of a willing Walleye!
So is the thought still the N. Marina? Gimme a time and I'll be there (somehow). 1pm sounds fine for convening. Not too late, that's why we pack bananas in the boat for a snack!
Ok, maybe some spam and pickled jalapeno sammiches!

News flash, we have a home or base for our operations on Flotilla Willard Bay. We will be eating at the Pelican Beach Pavilion. Special thank you to Curt (Wiperhunter) for lining this up with the State Parks. This is at the north Marina. I need to check and see if we can beach boats there or not. For those that want to still fish more after grubb. If the fishing is still good in freeway bay, this should be a good location for kicking off in that direction. Anyway more later. J

Wish you could as well. But I guess you get to fish on the less populated days. That's usually a much better deal. We'll take some pictures so you can almost be there. Later J

Yote, since it looks like the north marina will be the gathering place, meet me at the Flying J at North Willard exit at 6:30 - 7:00 AM Saturday 16th. You can park there and not have to pay the Park Entrance to get in.
You can bring whatever snacks you want, but I'll pass on the jalapeno sammiches, thanks. [frown] . As far as what fish may be biting, I wouldn't even hazard to guess. If the weather don't warm up and calm down, the Flotilla may end up as just that.....me doing lots of "floating" and no catching. But I'll be there to at least give it a shot.
If you have any rain gear (Frog Toggs, etc) you may want to bring them in case. I keep one set in my boat all the time.

Hey Forest I hit WB yesterday with my FIL and BIL and it was a slow day for us we ended up with 2 wiper, 1 eye and a 27" carp fowl hooked in the dorsal fin. My FIL got that one and I thought he had a tuna. It was my heavy gear and it was all he could do to make any ground on that fish. Great fight but sort of a disappointment when we got it to net finally. Anyway we covered lots of water and only every once in awhile did we get one. No doubles out of any spot we caught one. No repeat lures either. So I sure hope it's a little more friendly weather wise next week. Later J

2 wiper 1 eye and a Carp.....well that may not be the best day on the water at WB so far this year, but it's more than I have caught in my last 8 trips [pirate]
I was planning on a trip tomorrow up to Ballard Bridge with my youngest son. But the weather isn't looking like it will play nice, and being Mother's Day, he should probably stay home with his mom anyway. Will try one day week of 18-25 while I'm on leave from work. See ya next Sat at the WB Floatilla. I have about a half doz Wiper fillets I can bring for the cook if you want.

Forecast says the 16th will be just like today - but I'm still planing to attend. Even if the fishing isn't too hot, the friendship will be. Besides, a bit of weather might keep the power squadron at home.

Well Rocky and Kevin, that settled for me. I'll be there, might be in rain gear, but I'll be there.
