fishing after storms

I am wondering about fishing after a storm? Does it normally put fish down, depends on run off? or if it was a "front" ? I would like to fish at Starvation on Sunday but see a storm in the forecast for Saturday and don't want to go up there if I will be "wasting my time" although we know fishing is really never that!
