Fished Kolob on saturday. I was only able to fish for 1.5 hours. caught six fish between two of us. light biters missed quite a few. didn't really fish where i wanted too. i took my DAD and he hates ice of any thickness. ice was a mixture of slush frozen slush and a little good ice. all of the fish were 12-15 inchers.

Short sleeves, no other tracks or holes drilled, that looks like a good place to be! Nice fish, nice post.

So did you take the sleds in and what did you use to catch them on? Glad to see somebody else is willing to brave that road. How thick was the ice? Looks like some good snow, I can just make out the road behind you. I take it you fished just out from the boat ramp.

we road in on snowmobiles, the road is closed to everything else. the ice was safe but was a mixture . There was between 12-18 inches of slush, frozen slush snow and i believe 4-5 inches of ice. we caught the fish on demons with legs below swedish fish for attractors. there is good deep hole north of the island that i should have fished. maybe next time. the mountain has 3.5-4 feet of snow and there was one other guy out fishing by the dam but i don't know how they did.
Mjig,
i am going to fish navajo or duck creek possibly saturday and somewhere on the 24. thinking yankee, paragonah or i might make the trip to fishlake

We usually take ATV's in unless their is fresh snow. Last year some jerk off's took trucks in all year and make the trail horrible for sleds and bikes. We seen the park rangers riding around last year and didn't even give them tickets for doing it.
Carpkiller next time you head lets us know. I wouldn't mind meeting up with you and doing some ice fishing.
