Sheep creek lake boats?

I am thinking of heading out in July. What kind of boats can launch here? From the looks of Google earth it looks like there is a small ramp.

Sheep Creek at the Gorge? Or something else?

IMO, you would be better off fishing one of the nearby lakes. I had a small 12 ft boat on there and it was moss city. Hard to troll without bringing in your lures every few minutes to get the moss off. Long Park Res is much better and it has a nice concrete ramp, just a few miles down the road from Sheep creek. There is also Browne lake but I don't think it has a developed ramp.

I don't need much of a ramp but hopefully not mud. From what I've heard sheep creek has bigger fish than other lakes. Hoping to combo a FG and Uintas trip.

If you are bait fishing or fly fishing you should be ok but if you were thinking about trolling, you might regret going there but again JMO. I don't remember there being much of a ramp, maybe that has changed.

Sheep Creek Lake has a unimproved launch so you'll want to limit it to small boats. Like Wiperhunter stated there's a improved launch at Long Park though.

We did some netting up there this spring and I was pretty impressed with the quality and numbers of fish at Long Park. Lots of brookies and bows around 15-16 inches. Browne had a lot of fish, but the average size was smaller. Sheep Creek Lake was not sampled.
