I was today's ride-along partner in DuBob's immaculate Tracker boat at Hyrum.
We started out at o'dawn30 flinging a hatful of lures for bass. Bob caught one and I had a playful bump or two - probably bluegill. We were privileged to see a gorgeous osprey as well as a variety of other great water birds.
Bob then broke out the trolling rods and we trundled around for troutskis the rest of the day. Bob suffered the loss of two whole terminal rigs, including a Dipsey Diver due to an apparently bad snap (which he then tossed).
We hooked up with 17 or 18 (my count) and got about half that many to the boat - some just barely to the boat, but we counted them as "professional releases." I brought home four eaters and we returned the rest to be caught again.
After a very pleasant chit-chat with Bob's much better half, I came home to watch golf. If you get the chance to fish with DuBob, jump at it. He's great folk.
