Well, we have not been able to get out fishing to much this year, but we are slowly trying to fix that.
Item 1: I lost a custom built fishing rod at Mantua on the for E side, near the "big spring" point. We took a walk this morning to go find it, but it looks like someone beat us to it. If anyone happened to find a custom built 5 foot long, ultra light weight rod, down near the handle it's marked "custom made by Matt Ervin" please let me know. This is the first rod I had built and I would love to have it back.
Item 2: the report ------
We fished last night from 06/20 from about 6:30 to 9:00 pm and caught about 15 fish. We were just flinging out a worm and bubble. My suggesting is to take one rod, fling it out and let it is. setup another same worm and bubble but cast and real back slowly. We caught several decent (14-17 inch) large mouth and almost all of them took the work within 2 seconds of the bubble hitting the water.
Over all it was 1 fish every 7-10 minutes which is pretty good fishing from shore.
