With the confilicting work schedules of my girls who like to fish, we had to cancel 2 camping trips so we decided to squeeze in some time during the weekday. Fishing in the flats was pretty slow and we had to work for the fish. All in all, we caught 2 mudcats, 6 channels, including this big one! My 6 year old granddaughter got it and was the big winner today. We used shrimp. I didn't have a scale so your guess is as good as mine but I was thinking maybe 8-10 lbs. It was a fat 26 inches long. We let it go, it was too big for the fish basket. How heavy would you guess?
