help around the bear
#1
Going up to Bear lake for a family camping trip.
Thing is I have no boat. so its shore for me. This time of year I see no chance of getting anything out of the lake. So is there any streams or creeks that I can play around in? I will be all the way up on the north east corner. so it will need to be water that I can still use my Utah license. taking fly and spinner gear.

PM the Bear Lake fish guy.

When I was little, a guy showed me to fish a big lake with a large casting bubble from the upwind side of the lake.
Tie on a jig with some maggots, or a piece of worm attached and cast the mostly empty bubble and jig. Open the bail of your reel and let the line play out with the wind as far as it will go. Then reel back slowly. You could get bit going out or reeling back.
I'm not sure it will work on Bear Lake with the power squadron, but it worked on Yellowstone a long time ago.
