Gunlock tips?

Recently moved to St George from Centerville and looking to get some fishing in. I was reading that Gunlock is scheduled to be treated with Rotenone on October 6 and was thinking to take my float tube. I know the boat ramp is closed (not that I have a boat anyways) but seems like fishing pressure would be low, and limits have increased...

Has anyone tried it lately and can anyone offer any tips? Never fished it before, so any advice is appreciated. I would preferable to target bass, but wouldn't mind hooking into anything. Some big cats might be fun as well - if there are any in there.

Does anyone know is this reservoir holds trout?

I recently moved to St. George a few months ago too. I've only been out to Gunlock once so I won't be much help but I caught quite a few decent sized bluegills by the boat ramp using a bluegill looking crankbait. There's some big rocks submerged to the left of the ramp that they were hiding in. Didn't have any luck with bass though.
I was thinking of heading out there Saturday morning too.
