Skunk Attack

Yep got stinky today, Went to H.North to give the wipers a shot, Nope no takers. tried jigging, minnows, crawlers, spoons, ice flies, buzz bombs. Nutin but some peckish nibbles and one big hit which I missed due to watching the geese landing.

Water is low enough that they took out the boat dock,
Ramp is close to useless for a regular size boat.
But I sure didn't miss the power squad one bit.

I took my Porta Bote this time to try my new trolling motor
left the outboard off and only used the electric and oars,
Thought I was being sneaky lol didn't matter, still got whupped. was strange to be the only one on the water.
I only have a fishing buddy on that little boat and not sure how deep it reads temp. But it said 63, Was a little surprised that all the fishy symbols were shallow 9 to 15ft.
The 20 to 30ft range was pretty much barren. Oh well at least I got to go fishing.

H North is a fun water. Can be fickle at times as well.

Yep, That was my first skunking on that water, Of course now today I have thought of numerous things I failed to try. I got caught by the dreaded "well this worked last time" thinking.
I was not thinking when I said the finder said 63, had to be surface temp, 4 to 30ft depth all 63? Doh!!
Will try again next week if its not over run with Columbus day and UEA weekend.
