Im conflicted I use to fish that section quite often and I highly doubt the anglers are the ones causing the problems up there.
My money is on the tubers and rafters mucking up the area I blame that due to at the end of the season all the trash all I see up there is flip flops, sunglasses, drink containers and popped inner tubes. I rarely see anything that could have been left by anglers. And in not talking about just the everyday joe Ive also seen rafting outfits littering. I seen them provide lunch for their customers and that trash doesn't always end up in a trash can. Some of these guides are 20 years old kids who really don't care what their clients are doing. So why don't rafters have to buy a license I mean anglers already pay a fee by buying a fishing license why are we being double charged and rafters and tubers get it free ??? [signature]

It's part of the state park. If you have a parks pass then there should be no problem.

Raft guides do have to buy a license, it's $50.
They are also required to be current certified in CPR and First Aid, which they have to pay to take the courses. [signature]

Yeah, but the 12 kids on inner tubes floating along with their empty beer and soda cans and other assorted garbage do not need a license. Apparently they've been dumping a good deal of the orange caution barrels and other road construction items into the water too.

I dont know I dont fish that section any more due to all the drama associated with it so im not even sure why im commenting but I know quite a few people who like to fish the LP in the winter and I guess now they'll have to pay due to a group of people who only use it for 3 months out of the year. River guides Yes, licensing and CPR fee's is part of the career they chose and in return they'll be paid for providing a service.
Hordes of people who buy a inntertube at Walmart no. The reality of it is I bet only 10% of the people who float the river will pay this fee. Now if they would force floaters to buy a pass or license like they do recreational angers then well then things may change. Its the Angler who going to get hit with the fee's, Anglers are the one who are going to be mostly stationary in the area thus making it easier for rangers to track down. Plus anglers are the only ones to use the river year round LP is well know for its winter fly fishing. And yet im betting the trash will remain the same [signature]

I see the rafting groups making the mess... I always pick up trash and take out all the time when I fish the Provo.
