Cool pics. The fish in that 4th pic looks like the colors are washed out of him. Wish I knew where to tell you to fish with your boat. If we have another winter like last year you will have plenty of open water but launching may be the issue.

Pics by yourself? I try to keep the fish in or partly in the water, and fill the frame with just the fish. Hold the fish with one hand, and the camera with the other. Sure, a few will slip away, but that's ok too. You can also keep them hooked, and try to get a shot of just the fish with the lure/hook/fly in its mouth. Close shots of just the front half or head are kinda nice. The best shots are close ups, that's the key. Pay attention to lighting. The water usually makes the best background. Don't shoot into the light. Not to hijack your post, but here's a couple recent examples. I'm no pro, but just a few little things will help. That second shot you took with your hand, the net, and the fish swimming away is what you want. Yes!

I agree with crestliner Bear lake is a great place to fish in the Winter, most years it does not freeze but it's not too far, if you live in the Logan valley. As far as taking pics go, some folks use those selfie sticks, if you want to be in the pic but your pics look good. The Fish stick in the attached pics are what I use for taking pics.
