Saturday morning we drove up in the fresh snow storm to Jordanelle and fished the bank. I have to admit that I was in it more for the day away from the couch and never thought we would catch fish, but I was delightfully mistaken! we caught 9 nice fish with the biggest being this 26" 5lb bow! he was so fun to reel in and put up a fun fight!

[cool]Nice Bow! Which part of the lake is that? Rock Cliff or up at the Northern part of the lake? Unless my eyes are deceiving me, it looks like the water has come up a bunch since the end of summer.

A day getting skunked at the lake is better than a day on the couch anytime if you ask me! And a day with fish like that is even better!

Thanks guys, it was a bit chilly, but we stayed warm reeling in fish! it was about 11 degrees when we got there and I think it warmed up to about 16 by the time we left [cool]

Nice to see your report up and thanks for the tip...
I was one of the guys you saw hauling that pontoon around. We both ended up catching loads after you took of - made for a lot of fun.
Although we didn't end up catching anything close to the size of your big one!

I know I will be crucified for saying this, BUT 26 inches? I wish I had your measuring tape! You didn't count by two's did you?
Regardless....it sounds as if you had a great day! Congrats....I wish I could have been out on that same day catching fish!

I knew I would get at least one person that would question it. haha, and thats ok because without a picture of it with the tape measure, I guess I cannot prove it. We didn't have a tape out at the lake with us so we had to wait until we got home to measure him, and with him still being in an arch shape from trying to fit him in the cooler, he measured on the long end of 24", so if he was to lay out flat he was 26". here is another photo of him compared to the other fish we kept, which I originally thought were good sized until we reeled in the big one.
