Powell Snow Storm?? Wind??
#1
Went to Powell to check out a boat a buddy just got..We went even after we heard about how windy it was going to be..
We left SLC at O-dark 30 Thursday morning and headed south for Bull Frog, the wind was REAL BAD [Wink] (as you will see from the pictures if I can get them off my phone)
bad wind??

The fishing was off the wall when we could get out of the wind and snow storm..??[Wink]

The boat ran great and took the waves great, we found lots of fish and caught them on many lures..
Thursday we only got to fish for about 4 hours but got around 30 fish SM and LM bass and Strippers..

Friday was even more wind and snow rain and well see pictures is all I can say[Wink] [Wink] but the fishing was even better..
We gave away more fish than we wanted to keep or clean when we found out the fish cleaning station was closed for the winter..In the pictures you will see the wet spots of other fish..

The Stripers are in the backs of any canyon with trees and water that is stained in 15' and out to about 40 feet..

Shinier lures in silver that has lots of flash even flies will work some better then others..

did the boat run correctly?
did you need to run in reverse to get back to Bullfrog?
Throttle cables connected correctly?

sounds like a good trip. I can make out Tapestry Wall in photo number 1, where are the other photos? What canyons did you have the best success in?

We went in about 6 canyons but the fishing was best in the ones with trees or brush with water coming in..

I left an X on the good spots in the canyons, look for the X in the backs in 40' to 15' depth..[sly]
