Lost creek
#1
Thinking of doing some night fishing soon at lost creek. They used to close the gate at night. Anyone know if they still do that and times? Dont want to get stuck on the ice if I can help it. Thanks in advance.

In my past few night trips it has been open but I haven't done any this year. I think you should be fine. 👍👍👍 75%

the gate is currently snowed in. I dont think they could close it even if they wanted to and if they do...then keep on fishing[Smile]

I don't think I have ever seen that gate shut in the last few years since I have been going up to Deseret on a regular basis. I have come out fairly late at times too.

[#800000]I talked to both the East Canyon Ranger and the Morgan County Sheriff about this in 2014. Lost Creek is no longer under the care and management of East Canyon and the State Parks Guard Shack has been gone for several years. The gate (if it even exists anymore) is not being used any more to the best of my knowledge.

If you take the time to read the 2016 Fishing Guidebook, Page 34, you will find this under Lost Creek Reservoir: CLOSED to fishing 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. daily.[/#800000]

Lets keep in mind that Lost Creek is a PRIVATE reservoir. The only reason we get to fish is because the landowners let us. Don't jeopordize access for the rest of us by thinking that you are above the rules that they set. It is CLOSED to fishing after 10pm. You can still night fish after the sun goes down, but just make sure you are off the lake at 10pm.

With it getting dark at 5:30, that give you 4.5 hrs of fishing. Not a bad night fishing outing.
