On the ice at 8am, 6-7" of clear ice. 34' of water, couldn't find deeper. Fished til noon. 4 of us ZERO fish caught. I did not get a bite, my granddaughter had one playing for 3-4 min. son-in-law had one or two bites, my daughter had several bites, had one on for 10-15 seconds. Perch meat and meal worms. We had fish marked on the bottom all morning. Nothing suspended at all.
The trail coming down is in good shape, if you are not packed heavy and have a sled it's not bad coming up. Edges look worse than they are. Right at the bottom of the trail it looks like someone went in last week, we walked on a foot to the west and was ok. I am 360lb and had no problems getting on.
Should have gone where I am more familiar and stuck to cemetery point. As usual, wanted to try a new place where I have heard great things....always someone else[:p]
On a better note, I highly recommend going down Ogden canyon when you leave and eating at "Dylan's" a little ways from the mouth of the canyon. Best burger I have had in years. "1/2 lb steak burger" it's not good it's GREEEEAAAAAT!
