I fished Deer Creek today in the Wallsburg arm. Be CAREFUL out there. We could see from the road that there was a distinct line out on the ice that showed new and old ice. The old ice was 5-6" but if you crossed over to the other side the ice was only 2". It was easy to tell where the line was today... but if we were to get an inch of snow on top, you would have a hard time seeing where the thinner ice begins. We managed to ice six trout all good size. I actually picked up 2 nice healthy browns one at 18" and one at 19.5", the rainbows were 14" - 16". Got the browns jigging actively on the bottom with a large spoon tipped with cut bait. 30-35 FOW.
