I was thinking about hitting Willard bay within the next few days, I've seen a few groups just west of the north marina(freeway bay). I was wondering if anyone has any information on deck conditions and if the fishing is hot or not? Thank you

I've never heard Willard refered to as Hot for ice fishing- However if you get lucky there are some Jumbo perch and Slab crappie If you can find them. good luck.

I had the same question so Tuesday after work my son and I took checked it out. South Marina is frozen until you get into the cannel leading to the main lake, then it's thin ice. Wouldn't go there. Seemed like a long walk to the main body over rocks wasn't worth fishing so we didn't go any further.
North Marina looks to have open water at the inlet/outlet to the marina. Wouldn't go there either. Eagle Beach has lots of pressure ridges along the shore but if you are careful and quick you can get across them. Drilled a test hole about 6 feet out and found the ice to be 3 inches or so. Walked out of the beach cove and drilled more holes. Ice pushed closer to 5 inches. Moved over to the Group Beach and found much of the same. Didn't venture out on the ice as the sun was going down and we really didn't plan on staying long.
Not sure what this next round of storms will do.
