Electric lake access????

I am planning on taking a group of Scouts up to Electric Lake ice fishing and i was wondering if anyone has information on how the access is by the Dam. Can you get a Snowmoblie down to the ice from the dam?

You ought to send fuzzyfisher a PM and ask him. He goes up there a lot. At last report it is still a pig to get down the dam. Lots of snow, and a long walk to top it off. I think you can get a snowmobile on the ice, but I'm not sure if you can take one down by the dam. Good luck when you head out.

The narrow entrance at the dam through the fence is too narrow (not because of the snow -- it was intentionally constructed that way) for a snowmobile to enter there. There is access back down the road, towards Huntington Reservoir, a short distance. Fuzzyfisher will have to let you know the snow conditions -- and another storm is supposed to be headed our way (yippee!!) starting this weekend. I bet the fishing is excellent if you can gain access.

hey dude i was just up there today.. it would be tuff to get a snowmonile in there this year but if you have a better snowmobile than i got you can do it.. who ever lives in the caben up there on the road that drops in has plowed the road..i thought that,that would be a good thing tell i drove down there they have made a 6 foot high wall of snow on the place you want to go down the hill.. but the walk down the dam was not bad today all the snow has crusted and got hard so not a bad walk in or out.. just make sure you dont take alot of stuff down with you.. it's EZ getting it down but getting it back up wow dude it suck.. if you need any info just P.M. me and i will try and help the best i can..
