Anyone been up to Causey
#1
[Smile]I was thinking about heading up there this weekend to get away from the crowds. Just wondering if it was worth the time and gas to get thier. Maybe Lost Creek? Any help or suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks

I fished Caisey last weekend and it was non-stop action. But it depends on where you go on the lake. If you fish the opposite end of the dam from the spillway out about 100 yds and about 20 feet from the rocks (this area is shaded all day) you catch Splake all day long once in a while some kokes will be mixed in too.

Fish with icefly, whattacricket ...tipped with waxworms or night crawlers (just a peice of crawler) anywhere from just off the bottom to 1-2 feet off the bottom. For kokes they were usually about 6 ft from the surface. Ice last weekend was 12-18" thick depending where you were on the lake. We fished at this place in 20-25 ft of water.

If you want fast action and all day action you'll have fun here. All the Splake were 8-13"

Hi there Onemorecast I went to Lost Creek Res. this past Saturday and had a good time with many bite and catches. I could have limited out within an hour, but decided not to keep anything thirteen inches just to stay there for a while. There was least than 40 people there while I was there. You need a four wheel drive aleast to past the last two miles to get to the parking area.[Smile]
