Splake

headed to Joes Valley this weekend for Tiger musky but i see this place has some large Splake in it . This is a species i have never encountered and wondered what some basic techniques to use to target them should the Muskies decide to not cooperate. Not bringing my down riggers /trout trolling gear , so strictly casting for them from the boat and some shore fishing around dusk .

Jakes lure , for good splake fish the area between littles creek and the marina in seeley cove (opposite the dam side) Chub meat drifted can be good also

thanks Lonnie, ill be sure to bring along some jakes - hope to land my first ever splake this weekend. ( and a few tigers!!)
