That's pretty cool.

Is the trail on the 360 screen the prop wash trailing out behind the boat?

that is the prop wash

at first it is hard to learn how to read the 360
if you look on the one from Strawberry up by the temp.
top left
you can see another school that gives me time to mark it. and driver over them.
at strawberry it could be chubs
but we got a koke out of that school.

Lots of neat toys out these days.

How often does the 360 view update?

If that would have been 6/18/16 at the berry, you would have 12 boats on your screen. It was packed!

I agree. I was there Saturday as well. Never on a Saturday again. I think I like the side imaging graphs.

I would kill to have electronics like that..... Even if the fishing sucked, it woudl still be entertaining to see all that data!

Question:
What changed the screen display?
Top shot all four rings are clear.
Middle shot, outer ring is snowy.
Bottom shot, outer two rings are snowy.

Was the sensitivity progressively increased?
THANKS!!

I'm going to guess at why the rings are different colors - depth -- top screen is 174 fow , then 84. the finally 51' --- so even when the depth is only shallow on one side of the boat the ring would show a light ring all the way around....

I have the new side imaging technology on my new Hummingbird but I do not know how to read it. I would love to have you go with me on my boat and learn how to use that screen. Very cool. Thanks

The range is 110, 110, and 100 top shot to bottom shot. The depth is 174, 84 and 51, so that could be it.

I thought you saw the target depth on the left display if it were in the cone of the down scan unit. Does the 360 deg unit show the depth of a specific target?

The best way to learn about Humminbird 360 Imaging is to google it
It is not the same as side imaging, I don't use side imaging much
It will not show you how deep the fish are
sometimes you can see which way the fish move if you have it up date fast.
the rings tell you how for the fish are from your boat.

Humminbird 360 Imaging offers a detailed, 360 degree view around your boat. Visualize it as a thin sonar wall extending 150 feet to either side of your vessel. This wall rotates to create a 300-foot circle enabling you to see areas virtually impossible to reach with other types of sonar. And, because the sonar wall moves, you don't have to, so you can see where fish are, before they see you.

For greater on-water flexibility, 360 Imaging lets you choose from five beam speed settings. Lower beam speeds lead to higher image quality but lower refresh rates. Conversely, higher beam speeds result in lower image quality but higher refresh rates. With five options, you can find the ideal setting for your boat speed, water conditions, and need for detail.
