Had a great trip at Flaming Gorge for the Ducks Unlimited derby, I didn't do well at the derby but had a blast anyway. TRhe koke bite was awesome and lasted til at least noon. lake trout bite was slower but the quality of fish made up for it. I was able to boat a nice big mac 20 plus pounds 33 inches long ,and three more macs right at 28 inches . Weather was great but a cold front blew in friday night with marble side hail lighting lots of wind. This really slowed things down on Saturday and Sunday . Our tipical day started with koke fishing til around 11 o clock , then we would finish out the day trolling for macs. We fished for kokes at 30 to 65 feet near rawlings draw , best color was orange dodger with orange squid ,and rmt fusion dodger with double glow pink squids , best lake trout rig was silver dave davis pop gear with a pearl squid behind it .
