Finally found some perch managed 16 total...biggest was over 13" smallest around 9" apart from the little one I kept for bait...some gills were also around and of course the occasional slimmer. Bait of choice was about anything you want...worms, perch, jigs, etc...try fishing in the deeper parts of the lake and locate the schools..it was windy and the water temps were 77 deg.

Thanks for the report.
I want to take my grand kids to Mantua.
It can be a lot of fun for the kids.

[#0000FF]Great report. Some nice perch and gills there. Good to know they are there for those who seek them out...and who know how to "fish whisper".
Lucky you din't provide the GPS numbers. Your post might have been moved to the elite board.

Thanks Pat it does take some work locating the perch but they seem hungry and are a far different fish during the summer compared to the suttle bite we often get during ice season...

Nice job, and good pics! Good to see some of those 'Ghost Fish' have returned after having departed for areas unknown during the ice season...heat up the frying pan!
