I know, I know. I'm a troller who gleans info and so may not be worthy of information, but here goes anyway.
I've always liked strawberry, but want to venture to starvation with some friends in a boat on thursday.
any pointers on where and what to try would be appreciated.
Thanks,

[#0000FF]Fished it last Wednesday from a boat. Based upon what we experienced...and intel from other recent Starvyites...here 'tis.
Water levels are still high but falling now. Water clarity good. Water temps right around 70.
Trout: All over the lake...from swirling on top to over 30 feet deep. Check your sonar on any given day to guage the depth of your presentations. Best action is probably in the Strawberry River inlet area...with some stained water.
Perch: Still not back in full force. Couldn't find any schools. But did find singles and small groups in 16-20 feet of water near weed beds...where they are feeding on young perchlets.
Walleyes: Near the perch. Some larger ones in deeper water up to 30' deep. Troll crankbaits or use worm harness rigs on the bottom.
Smallmouths: Almost everywhere around the rocky shorelines. Many small ones but a few with some inches and pounds. Work crawdad colored plastics or cranks...anywhere from shallow over weed beds to 20 feet over rocky bottom.
Only walleye we caught last week were in Rabbit Gulch...fishing the 15-20 foot depths along the breakline from the shallow shelves into the channel.
If you are a relative newby to Starvy send me a PM and I will give you a link to an informational and pictorial writeup.

i;ve done really well trolling for trout with a Kokanee Creek( bread and buter )spinner tipped with a worm. get some of those and troll them in rabbit gulch or below the bridge or in front of the dam and you will be happy . I use a mall dodger with mine .
