scofield report 12/18
#1
Made it down to Scoefield for the first time today. It went pretty much the same as everyone else's reports. 1 small cutty(released) and a pile of bait. Probably could have caught more trout if i fished shallower, but was really wanting some bait. Most fish were caught near the bottom. Temp hovered around 0 most of the day and the wind didn't blow until quittin time. I didn't take a measuring tape, but i'd say there was 6-8 inches of good ice, with another 3-4 inches of frozen slush in the dam arm in around 17' of water. Got to try out my new drill/auger for the first time, and couldn't be happier.

Gotta love those drill augers. I got one 3 years ago and have enjoyed it very much. I got one of those Clam adapter sets. I was surprised how easily it cut through even the thick ice on Strawberry. Glad you had a good time.

Was there a lot of snow up there? Looking to head up this weekend!

A decent amount. But it was blown off the area we fished.
