Mantua 12/21
#1
Got out of school very early and decided to go get some first ice. Since I haven't been ice fishing there in about 2 years I tried to do what I knew from the best of my memory. Got out st about 1:40 to 2. Temps were about 30. Got out and started fishing and catching fish for one of my friends started fast. He ended up with a perch, and a couple gills and trout to total at 16 fish, I got a baby bass, and a couple trout and gills to total at 6. My other buddy got 2 trout and 2 gills. Overall, great day, and it was nice to get back on the ice!

Very nice. It's always good when you can lip a gill!

That's where I hope to be later next week. It will be my first time ice fishing. I don't have everything yet, just a rod and reel, an ice auger, a scoop and a fish finder.

Don't forget the most important thing, a bucket.
Try to find a 6 gallon bucket instead of a 5 gal.
You will appreciate the extra height.
