Last I heard the ice was iffy. I have seen reports of one guy fishing on 2-3 inches and another guy falling through. That was on Dec 20 so who knows what has changed since then. I was there with my on the 20th and we were on 2-3 inches of ice. We were doing pretty good with a flasher and nightcrawlers and powerbait. They seemed to like brighter powerbait a lot. The smallest fish we caught was 14 inches long. The Dwr says there now is 4-6 inches across the lake with the thickest by the dam.
