Pineview dummies
#1
We and night fished Pineview. Parked in the parking lot at Port ramp and set up out near the marina docks. Ended up catching our limits but when we packed up and headed in another group had drilled about 6 holes in a small diameter. My buddy ended up falling through as they sat about 25 yds away in another spot. Bottom line watch what ur doing and where ur walking. With a half foot of slush u there is no way of knowing if someone has drilled a hole there or not.

Was the parking lot plowed at the port marina?

Thanks....

Was there slush everywhere you walked? Last week if you walked on the path less traveled you were busting through hard crust down to 6"-8" of slush. Was hoping all that froze up by now

Unfortunately they have not plowed the port ramp area...u better have 4 wheel drive if u go in and it can be tricky turning around. The main issue is during the thaw plenty of trucks had turned around back there but after it all froze and snowed those ruts are ice and ur truck can get stuck trying to go over those ruts. But it's certainly doable just know ur capabilities.

You could tell the lower Temps were freezing that top layer last night and I could stay on top most of the time. I would think by Monday it should be better...

[#800000]The only time that lot was ever plowed in the last 10 or so years was the year they were filming some winter scenes for a movie. The production company paid to have it done. The Pineview manager (USFS) will never plow it and there isn't any money allocated for state or county agencies to do it. Use it at your own risk.[/#800000]

Saturday was great. No slush on the lake. The edges were pretty good and when we left it was 8 degrees.
