So as I continue my quest to lighten the back end of my boat. I am running a 40hp Outboard. This motor is charging
my two extremely oversized Marine Deep cycle batteries , located at the rear of the boat. In my other post I was asking about
lighter batteries and had alot of great ideas about relocating. But Im wondering if I really need both.
I am using a fish finder the duration of my trip. I am using a couple of electric down riggers, occasionally turning on a stereo.
My gas power kicker is generally being used (it does not charge anything). So do I really need two batteries ? I am considering
just putting an emergency back up , up front that could be swapped as an emergency.
Are any of you running everything off of one battery ?
