Hit the pond at 7 with Curt and Ira from the north marina, headed south and marked fish on the north end and we dropped in pulling cranks. Had a pretty stiff south wind so turned into it and the rollers coming across the lake, picked up an eye and a perch and then the wind layer down so headed back to the north picking up another pair. Got calm so we worked the area for another hour with Ira catching a cat so we pulled the gear headed down past the light pole, picked up another eye and covered a lot of water bottom bouncing, decided to head back up to where we started and got the 4th eye and last fish. Could see a storm cell heading towards us from the SLC area and called it around 2:30. Not wide open but we had a good time.

Nice.  Wish the "big motor" on my craft would allow traveling farther and faster...and being able to troll cranks for a longer period.  Sigh.

What depths seemed to hold the most fish...and were they orienting to the bottom or suspended?  Also, how were the water temps?

We were in 21-22’ of water, most were on or close to the bottom but did see a few fish up probably 6-8’ off the bottom. Water temp was around 66

Great getting out with you again Alan. Not sure if that weather this morning effected the bite but it sure didn't help the crank bite and purple wasn't the color today, even though it has been working for others.

At least you got some. I'm done with Jury Duty. Can't wait to get back there with you. Any day next week but Thursday will be ok with me.
