How do you deploy the transducer? Do you use a skimmer or actual ice-ducer?? any pics?

I'm looking to purchase a garmin striker 4. My question is can I get a battery small enough I can take in my float tube? The 12 volt batteries I look up are pretty big and would be hard to carry in my float tube. Would you or anyone know what I can get?

There are so many 12V SLA batteries that you definitely can find one. Just go to any Interstate battery store and they have many to choose from at decent prices. The smaller sonars pull very little juice. just look up what your sonar needs and you can easily calculate how many amp-hour battery that is needed. I used to have a 7amp-hr battery but downsized to a 6amp-hr. (more amp-hrs mean bigger batteries). My 6amp-hr battery weighs about 2lbs and could run my sonar unit for 16 hrs+. They do sell smallLi-ion batteries but those cost 3x as much. Why bother with a little weight savings and longer run times when youre only talking about 1 lb or so lighter in these small batteries? However, in full sized batteries then Li-ion makes a bigger difference.

NoJoke 12v 6ah Po4 battery. Same size as the others but less than 2lbs. I plugged it in right out of the box and ran the demo a couple times. Battery showing 13.4v.
I LOVE THIS BATTERY SO FAR. $15 DELIVERED BY AMAZON. My transducers is mounted to the boat attachment because it was the only way i could get the sonar perpendicular. Enjoy...
