Minnkota to Fishfinder Transducer
#1
Does your sonar/fishfinder other than the Hummingbird unit support the Minnkota bow mount transducer? My Raymarine supports a listing of other transducers including Minnkota. I was wondering what opinion you have with its quality on your finder? I ordered the adapter cable to work between Minnkota & Raymarine but it will be a long while before I can get back on any lake.

When I bought my first Minnkota, it had the transducer in the motor and it had an adapter for using a Lowrance. I checked it out and it worked fine but it was mounted at the bow of the boat and since I never fish up there, I never used it. Now I have put an extension on the skag, for better boat control, so I doubt it would work correctly like that but I have noticed on the new minnkotas, they have a new feature, built into the transducers, side scan and that might be worth it by itself, because you could see off to the sides, in front of the boat, instead of the back, like most of us have.
