This is a very steep ramp but now that they have lowered the price to launch there, we will be giving it a try soon. Reports of nice crappie and some ok perch being caught, just makes me want to give it a try, after not fishing it for a few years. Price to launch now is $13 and the Port and Cemetary point ramps are closed, after today. By the way, I talked to a boat angler at the ramp, that said there was a petishion for folks to sign, trying to get the state to take over PV, it would become a state park if this could become law. I'm trying to find out where we can sign up but so far all I know is that it is in the hands of a local tiger muskie club. Hopefully K2 or another member of this club will chime in with some more info.

LOL, I just read your reply but sent you a PM before I read this. Do you know anything about this petition? I thought you might be a member of that local musky club. I tried contacting K2 but never got a reply.

When we drove up on Sunday, we talked to a guy at the window and and he said on the first day of Fall, which was on Monday, that the price would drop to $13, on that day, so that was all we put in the envelope on Weds when we went there. There was no one at the window, was there someone at the window when you arrived?

Never did join the musky chapter but may have some older emails for the members on here & iceshanty back then that did join it. I'll see what I can dig up. If you read this dubob you think you could hit up K2 on your fisherman email list and see if they've heard of this?

Thanks Bob. Guess we'll see if the view goes back to the state. I'm in! Took a drive up there today to check out the leafs and a star burger lunch. Ramp was busy by the time I came back down. People on the hwy trying to get in. Water is low. Be safe out there if your trolling/running fast close to shore.
