Has anyone fished the Weber up by Smith & Morehouse? I believe a lot of that area is owned by Thousand Peaks Ranches. I may have an opportunity to fish it but have no idea what to expect as far as fish and size.

You are correct. Most of it is private. There are some nice fish. I know as I have some students who have access and they show me photos often. Most of my students chase the fish with small spinners or the normal assortment of flies. Occasionally grayling get washed over from SandM and get caught below. I hope you get a shot at it as it is some good water.
Remember: keep the lid on the worms, share your jerky, and stop by to say hi to Cookie and the Cowboy-Pirate crew

Good to read that someone posted about fishing a river. Seems like 95% of postings are all about fishing reservoirs. It's been 20 years since I fished that area on the Weber River. Back in the 50's and 60's my father and I used to fish there quite often and not as much private property. Back then there were very few cabins but now it's loaded. I occasionally fish Simth & Morehouse for grayling with a fly and bubble. Good memories and good fishing for browns on the river.
