The way I figue, you can always use the magnet to hold the Altoids tins that you are using store your stainless hooks in.[cool]

Sorry about that. I guess that even my typing gets garbled after a few cold ones.

You should see how my flies turn out when I am tying them on my custom station and after have a few cold one![cool]

...n/p.. I was thinking I may have to go see my optometrist to have my eyes rechecked.. [sly]... I may just have to start saving my tins from altoids and maybe ice breakers and see what I can do with them... Im so new to this and with my vivid imagination there is no telling what I may come up with..

another good idea.. Im also thinking bead heads.. cone heads.. hooks.. barbell eyes etc... put a label on the outside saying what the con tins are.. all are the same size.. should stack neatly...

[#005028][cool]Hey Mac apparently you are not part of the 10% in the SD area that had to leave their homes. I mean where will a ΒΌ million people go? I feel for all those that have lost their home. MGBT[/#005028]

luckily I was not an evacuee but did spend the day at home from work yesterday.. basically got up .. smelled smoke.. heard there was a fire less that 5 miles away.... so since they were not sure. .I was not sure. .packed up essentials in about 40 minutes and waited to see if they would call.. luckily they did not..

now to answer your question.. there are someting like 15 or 17 evacuation centers throughout San Diego.. the largest of which is Qualcomm stadium.. the largest large animal (horse) evac area is Del Mar.. spread between those are numerous civic centers, high schools etc that have opened their doors.. both Del Mar and Lakeside rodeo grounds accepted animals and people (I know sounds funny.. but both were originally set up for large animals (horses)).. plus the ARC set up several areas as well .. plus evac hot lines etc.. there were several hospitals and senior centers that had to be evacuated. patients were sent to a different hospital.. and the seniors were accomodated by family or in the private suites of qualcomm stadium..

.. on top of that every time anyone asked for supplies of any kind for the evacuees.. someone stepped up.. the Navy , the Marines, Qualcomm, Rubios restaurant, to name a few.. major hotel chains.. and individuals .. it was great to see..

...thanks for asking but no dang it.. in fact today is the first day we have gotten mail since the fire crisis arose.. I am hoping it and the station that FG sent me arrive very soon.. getting antsy..

.. on a brighter side .. since I did not go to work due to I5 being closed I took the time to set up a section of the office for my fly tying.. so far have a table set up.. and put my limited supplies in a small three drawer portable storage unit.. it is very sparse right now but in my minds eye I can picuture the setup once the station and new vise arrive and I get back to work on flies..
