went to willard today caught 5 walleye. Using a plain chartruse jig head tipped with a nightcrawler. Caught them in about 8 feet of water. Have pictures but can't figure out how to put them here.[crazy]

you have to be able to post them somewheres on the web, then link to them using the little picture icon right above where you type in your post . .
if you dont have any webspace anywheres - attach them to an email to me, ill post them on my server, and give you the links of how to get at them . .

This was my first time on the lake all I can tell you is I put in at the north boat ramp went straight out of the cove and veered right. And started fishing the rocks. They were in close to the bank. I was casting up to the bank and bringing it back to the boat. they were hitting in about 6 to 8 feet of water. Someone came buy and asked what happened to the big light pole that was there last year if that helps.

Went back to the same area today and caught 2 walleye and 1 wiper. My boat isn't brand spanking new i've had it 2 years now it's a 2001 model crestliner tournament special. Has bait wells in it course they aren't any good in utah. But yesterday was my first day on the lake. The only other one i've had my boat on is pineview twice. Just moved here this winter from Kansas so i'm just getting the boat out now. Fished utah lake this winter from the bank and got into some crappie and blue gill. Plan on getting to know all the lakes around here.

Had lots of pratice in Kansas, love walleye fishing. Glad to see it's pretty good here also. Nice to have trout fishing here, have fished for them some in other states but not to much. There safe though it's catch and release on them don't care to eat them. They just don't rank up there with walleye and crappie for table fair in my opinion. Caught a few this winter and they are still out there.

Poncho, since that was your first day on willard I would bet its safe to say that was your first wiper. Unless of course you fished them in kansas. Cant beat it huh? Thanks for the reoprts.
