Birch Creek adventure
Where is Causey located? I haven't heard about that one, but I do love a nice tiger hunt.[cool]
Click on Utah Fishing Forum above and then Utah Fishing Holes and you will find directions to Causey. Also a nice tip to know is that one can click on the Subject heading and it will sort the subjects below alphabetically.

Causey is not a very good Tiger Fishery (Yet). You get an occasional tiger, but most of them are pretty small. It seems like there would be some nice ones in there, since they planted them a while ago. There probably are some good sized ones, just hard to find. To successfully fish Causey, it's best to have a boat, pontoon, or tube.
On the other hand, Causey is a great place to catch a variety of different trout (Small trout). Most common are the Splake trout, and you may catch a few rainbows, cutts or tigers. There are also browns and brooks in there.
Good Luck

Thanks for the tip. Being a newer member I need to familiarize myself with the site better.

Birch Creek has tons of little minnows, not sure what kind they are but they are plentiful. Those bait fish contribute to the rapid growth rate on those tigers up there.

Causey lacks bait fish, that why 90% of the fish you catch up there are under 15 inches. They need some baitfish in Causey so that the fish can get bigger. Don't get me wrong, there are some lunkers in Causey, but they are most likely big browns and cutts sitting on the bottom.
