I know this has been asked before, but thought I'd try again now that it's warmed up a bit. Would like opinions on when Is the best time of year for float tubing for white bass at Utah Lake and areas to try.

[cool]Hey, Leaky. Weather permitting, I would hit Lincoln Beach right now for spawning white bass, post spawn walleyes and some hungry pre-spawn cats.
Your favorite curly tail grubs will work for most of the action. Suggest you include both black and purple, along with the white. Use light heads because the water is shallow and full of snags. The rocks and stickups at Lincoln Beach eat lots of lures. I always tied mono weed guards on the light jig heads I fished there.
You should also find whites in all the harbors. Early mornings are best. They move out when there is too much activity. Fish around cover or pilings when possible...vertical jigging. Also, cast small spinners just off the shore and reel parallel to the shoreline. Don't be surprised if you hang a big largemouth or walleye in the process.
There should be a bunch of whites going up the Provo River too. Take your fly rod and try strip casting small white jigs or flies in the deeper pockets next to the bank. They prefer to rest in slow water.
If you can locate them, you can usually catch them. It's just that old equation that 90% of the fish are usually only in about 10% of the lake at any given time.
