I hadn't seen any reports on Scofield so I had to go and check it out for myself. I fished the southwest side of the reservoir in my kick boat using a medium (#3) sinking line and size 4 bead head crystal buggers in black/gold/green and tan/green/pearl. The water temperature was 46-48 degrees and the visibility in the water is only about two feet because of the wind and the low water level. Fished from 8:00 until about 12:30 and caught one tiger, six rainbows, and the rest were cutthroats. All of the fish were under 14" long. The reservoir is only 31% full and the water users are already pulling 45 cfs from the reservoir. The fishing was fair to good for small fish. Anyone that likes to fish Scofield needs to plan there trips early while there is still some water in it.[frown]
