Skunked in Payson Canyon

My best man took me fishing at Maple Lake for my "bachelor party." It was fun to be out there, the weather was great, and it's a beautiful area. Unfortunately, we got totally skunked, which almost never happens to me there. Usually, Carolina rigging a ball of powerbait off the bottom of the lake yields fast action almost every cast all day long, but for whatever reason it was no go on Saturday morning. I think I got one bite the whole time, and it was on a Berkley plastic worm.

I suspect the water levels may have had something to do with it. The lake was lower than I've ever seen it; a good 8-10 inches at least lower than usual.

Ah well, next time, right?
