Pruess lake
#1
So, anyone even heard of this place or ever fished it? Its out on the state line but far south of our other warmwater establishment. According to my atlas, it has channels only in it.... Truth or fiction? If its true, I mean its one hell of a drive for some fishing but so is Blue Lake. And we can always use another cat hole. I am thinking about heading out to check it out but want to find out if I should even pack poles or if I should just take the shotgun for some rabbit chasing on the way out and back..... If anyone knows anything but doesn't want to blow the cover off the place, just shoot me an email or a PM. Thats totally cool. Anyway, just thought I'd throw this question out to see what it stirs up. On top of this, has anyone fished the King Kat setups from Cabelas or the CatMaxx setups out of Bass Pro Shops?? I'm thinking of buying one or the other and just wanted a little info. Thanks in advance for any input.

Pruess is the only lake in Utah with Sacramento perch. I have always wanted to go target these large perch, but the drive is what has held me back.

Rat- I wrote up a piece on Pruess (I call it Garrison Reservoir) on the post entitled Sacramento Perch if you want to know more about the place. I fished it twice and never caught one, only channel cats. It is one long road trip, definitely an over-nighter. Acey
