Starvation Perch Search Cancelled

State Parks just informed us that the ice came off of much of Starvation yesterday. The perch fishing for saturday had to be cancelled for safety reasons. Thanks for the support of those at BFT.

I just did a tour today. Steinaker and Red Fleet look good. The county isn't plowing the road into Calder and Crouse, so it's snowmobile access only. I didn't make it to Pelican, but the word is good ice and fast fishing. I want to try RF to see if I can find Waldo.

we checked the state sight today, and they still say the perch hunt is on. What's up? Is there ice but not safe? Let us know, we would like to go on saturday. thanks

It is cancelled due to unsafe ice.

I checked Starvation today. There is a lot of open water from what I could see from Indian Bay. If it doesn't cool down soon, it will be wide open soon.
