If you choose to do the bead on the tippet plan on keeping the fish (which I know you do so alls good)
They can and will take the hook in damaging places.
If you don't plan on keeping fish please consider using circle hooks.
Orange is the most popular color, specially with salmon as that is the color they come out.
Pink or a salmon color would be a great choice too and for me...YELLOW.

The advantage to Glo Bugs is they are easy to make and the fibers can actually get caught in the Trouts teeth, but they will get hammered.

Get some cloudy whitish nail polish and cover the beads for a milky effect.

Ya I'm planning too start tying some flies maybe in the spring time or when I'm done with school. Especially I will make tons of elk hair caddis to fill a box and send the picture of all the colorful caddis I've made. I might make a rainbow caddis for fun ha ha ha.
