The snow in our area is 1-2 ft. on the ground but it's time to make sure all your fishing gear is operable and plan those spring fishing outings. If you are thinking about taking a spring charter fishing trip, now is the time to book your date. On Lake Ontario, our trolling season for trout and salmon starts in early April. I am currently booking dates starting in mid April. We have the famous LOC Derby Apr. 27-May 6! (See http://www.loc.org) That time of year, brown trout and lakers are the most numerous. The weather may be cool but the fishing can be great! I currently have openings Apr 30, May 1, 2, 3, 4 during the LOC Derby (sorry, the weekends are booked). I also have some other dates in late Apr. and May. June has lots of openings and this is an exceptional lake trout month! During Apr, May, & Jun., I operate out of Rochester, NY. I'd be happy to try to answer any questions about our spring fishing.
