Planning on heading up there this Sunday. Taking my cousin fishing and wants to catch a variety of fish so figured east canyon would be a good place to catch trout/wipers/SM bass.. read the recent reports and it sounds like wipers up there are now biting. Anybody head up there recently and had luck catching some wipers? I was thinking of just doing the same thing I do at willard which troll some rattle traps or wash some mussels.

I haven't seen one report of catchable wipers at EC, I am interested also.

We fished Aug 5
First 2 were real dinks, but the last pic was quite a bit bigger. My tackle bag boxes I believe are 15 inches so that one fish has got to be close to that. Should have measured but we just took the pics and released.
I talked to Tube Dude about the size difference. According to the stocking reports only 2 class of wipers should be in there, and the 2nd planting was this year so those fish should not be that big. The other stocked fish was 2014, so I wondered why the difference in size.

You might find some pan fish too, blue gill, crappie. Work any shoreline that has some brush. What is the water level now?
