Great report, good to hear someone is catching the kokes at the Nelle. Last year we caught kokes in that same area but it was later in the season. Surprising the kokes are still that shallow, did you happen to notice the water temps?
Were you using weights to get your lures down deeper on your planner boards?

(07-24-2020, 09:30 PM)Great Report, I caught Kokes up at the Nelle into august last year as shallow as 5 feet, when surface temps were 69 to 70 Degrees. They seem to like it near the surface up there, I think there is a lot of food up high in the water column.

Greetings fellow fishermen! Got on the water this morning at 7 am and fished until 1 pm. It started out very slow, thought we were going to get skunked. 1st koke came on a planer board right off the surface after 2 hours of trolling. The bite turned on between 10 & noon. The small fish were all caught at 20' and the larger were at 30' deep. The largest was 19" long. We couldn't find any fish in the main body of the reservoir. All were caught up the Provo arm. There were lots of other boats, only a few fishing. Pink squids, moon jelly dodgers were the ticket. Turned out to be a great day on the water. Happy holiday and good luck!
