There are a couple of small streams on your way into Evanston. After you take the Echo exit off of 84, take your next right exit and head towards Wyoming on the old highway, Keep your eye on the right side of the road (in between the railroad tracks and the highway) a small yearlong stream appears. It is only a few feet across and doesn't look like much, but always holds a few dinner plate sized trout.

If you ever get down south you should try Leed's Creek (Bonneville Cutts) in Oak Grove. There is also the Beaver River (Bows and Browns) and Clear Creek (Bows). You can also try Corn Creek(Browns), which is a little more north than the rest. Another good one would be Asay (Bows, Browns, and Whitefish) (if you can get access) and Mammoth (Browns and Bows) (artificials only). Also try the Fremont (Browns and Bows) and the Sevier (Bows, Browns, Cutts, Brookies, Whitefish). And if you want to you can try UM (Tigers, Bows, Browns) above Forsyth with artificials. Another great stream place would be all over the Boulder Mountains (Brookies, Bows, Browns, Cutts, Splake) . Come and visit Dixie where you can catchBows, Browns, Cutts, Brookies, Whitefish, Tigers, and Splake doing some real first class stream fishing.

Thanks for all these great suggestions, much more response than I expected. I usually always fly-fish the streams, so the artificial only streams are great to me. Some of my favorite streams are Thistle, Nebo & Huntington Creeks. Since they started the construction up Diamond Fork, I have tried up there, but with the road closed, I couldn't get above the brownish water. ...Any suggestions on that? Also last year I wanted to try Hobble Creek, I drove up the canyon and drove and drove and drove, and it seemed to be all private land. Just where does one fish Hobble creek anyway? Thanks again!

You can fish Hobble creek above or below the golf course. About 1/4 of a mile below the old swimming hole (large pit on your right), there is a small pull out. If you can find it, there is a beaver dam in there that holds a lot of very nice Browns. Watch out for the turkeys. They roost in the trees right there often. Just above the golf course are the large public campgrounds where the road looks lke it splits. Go to the right. You can park down in there even if you are not with one of the reserved groups. If you stay left at that split, drive all the way to the gate. Park there and fish down. Hope it helps.
