28lb green back caught today , skiper peter marshall (kipper) to his pals, caught on 2 large sqid . it had bin a long slow day with only gummey sharks (dog fish) being caught ,a littel annoying but it can be fun some times. then as we headed for low water bang the rod tip jumped and we wher in 20 mins after a long steadey fight we saw some couler it was super wot a grate day chers kip tight lines jim see u soon<br><br>

Thanks for the outline James. <br><br>Sounds like a real nice Cod that was landed.Were you fishing around a wreck at the time or broken bottom? <br><br>Not surprised to hear about the squid baits getting you hooked up either. Cod love them and especially on the back of a heavy jig with a circle hook attached. <br><br>Do you fella's use glow in the dark jigs for Cod and work the jigs to make them strike? <br><br>If not then give it a go.
